When I used to watch Hollywood movies and tv as a kid, I saw people in them eat breakfast and usually its a bowl of cereal or a french toast, so I tried to make french toast when I was 15 and found it interesting, it is something we would consider a evening snack or a mild dessert since breakfast in south India is usually not sweet, so I asked my mom if she could make the same recipe with salt instead of sugar and the toast was to my liking.




Now to Indianise it further I have added some spices and the resulting french toast is absolutely delicious, it has become one of my favorite breakfasts and the best part is, its so easy to make

Ingredients
  • 1 green chilli
  • 3 garlic pods
  • 1 tbsp coriander
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • oil for cooking
Instructions
  1. Make a paste of the green chilli, garlic and coriander.
  2. In a bowl add eggs to the milk and beat it well.
  3. Add the pepper, garam masala, salt and the grinded paste and mix well.
  4. Dip the bread into the mixture, coat it well and cook it in medium flame till the surface turns brown, flip it and cook the other side.
  5. Your Masala french toast is ready.
