Masala Cheese Croquettes is essentially a western dish but resembles the Indian aloo tikki so much. We dont use processed cheese in many traditional Indian recipes but its getting popular by the day in India that people have started adding cheese in dosas, chat and on top of sandwiches to make them taste extra yummy.

This dish makes an excellent evening snack and is best enjoyed when its hot and crisp, do not make the croquettes and then freeze the unused ones, instead freeze them before frying.

The cheese needs to be cold when you pack them inside the potato balls or else they will get mixed with the dough.

Try to serve them with many different sauces as possible, I myself like them with bit of mustard sauce, although many will enjoy it with tomato sauce.

If you want the dish to be vegetarian, instead of the egg wash you can use 2 tbsp of plain flour mixed with water 1/4 cup of water
